Description

With this new infrared detection technology, there is no need to process videos analysis.

The object moves and the trajectory is represented in real time on the screen using the supplied software.

 

Experiments:

- Pendulum

- Uniform rectilinear motion

- Accelerated rectilinear motion

- Parabolic motion

- Free fall

 

The IR device is supplied with data acquisition software.

It consists of 2 tabs designed specifically to meet the requirements of the curriculum.

 

Point of interest 1:

Observe the trajectory of data  acquisition instantly, then measure the distance between 2 chosen points. The software stores in a dedicated tab the distances and the corresponding Δt.

Calculate the distances / Δt ratios very easily and conclude on the proportionality or not of this ratio.

While validating the relationship between speed, distance and time, the student describes the trajectory and characterizes the nature of motion.

 

Point of interest 2:

Establish the link between the mathematics and physics concepts.

The notions of graph, linear or affine line, and slope can be used in the context of problem solving.

The tools integrated in this software will allow the student to characterize the motion by investigationg the notions acquired in Mathematics.
