Technical Support
At Merlan Scientific, we want all our customers to become repeat customers. To achieve this we have established technical support policies that are second to none. Our goal is to provide a high level of service to all our customers. We will endeavour do this at a reasonable and fair price.
We offer no charge lifetime telephone support on all our products. You may call or email our technical support manager, Chris Pendlebury at our Mississauga location for help with all your support needs.
All attempts will be made to find a solution to the specific problem or fault over the phone. If the problem is hardware related, we will try to isolate the fault to a particular component or assembly. The faulty component can then be returned to our in-house repair centre in Mississauga. All of our products have warranties at, or beyond, typical industry norms. In the event that a product is out of warranty and is in need of repair, we have competitive repairs rates. We will provide an accurate quote for any out of warranty service.
We stock many components to minimize repair time. For those who wish to perform their own out of warranty service work, those components are available for purchase. For many critical assemblies we keep spares on hand that may be provided on loan while the repair is completed.
Training
As a teacher, not only are you engaged in teaching others, but from time-to-time you will have the opportunity to be a student. This is especially true for teachers working in the constantly changing world of science and technology education. To meet these requirements Merlan offers training on our major product lines. Training programs are customized to accommodate your specific needs and will take the form of a one-on-one training or a group training session, whichever is most appropriate. Merlan strongly believes training is one of the best investments that you can make when incorporating or upgrading new equipment and software into your classes.
Training can be provided with the original purchase and the terms negotiated at that time, or can be provided to staff at a later date. Regardless of how training is arranged, it will always be offered at fair and competitive rate.
Workshops & Events
At various times of the year, and at various locations across the country, we offer regional workshops in the science and technology areas. They provide the opportunity to preview and test drive various products. This is a great way to get a refresher course on a product you currently own, or to acquire more information on equipment that you may be considering for the future. These events also present a good opportunity to network with colleagues and share classroom ideas, implementation strategies and the like. For more information email info@merlan.ca.
